World market leader to return to concentration on its original concept

Last year Home Depot, the world's leading DIY company, opened just 13 new stores: five in the USA, three in Canada and five in Mexico. It also closed down two DIY stores in China. A total of 41 outlets have been lost through the discontinuation of the Expo, Design Centre, Yardbird and Bath Business formats. The company is once again concentrating on its original DIY concept based on warehouse-style stores.
You can find detailed information on the latest changes at Home Depot, which are seen in the light of the recent change of management and the introduction of Frank Blake as the company's new CEO, in a contribution under the Trade Topics heading in DIYglobal Plus (see below: Other articles on this subject).
