Changing views of European consumers

More importance attached to price and quality, while service loses out

Consumers in Europe want to make lasting changes to their consumer habits as a result of the economic crisis. The Dresdner-Cetelem Kreditbank comes to this conclusion from its European Consumer Barometer 2010. Consumers thoughts are going back to prices (96 per cent) and quality (87 per cent). High priority is also given to the aspects of fairness (62 per cent) and ecological costs (59 per cent). On the other hand, many services and add-ons are becoming less significant in consumers eyes.
