In the recently completed 2009/2010 financial year the British DIY group Kingfisher procured a volume of US $ 800 mio through its own global sourcing network. That was a 14 per cent increase on the previous year. Further growth of 26 per cent to a total of US $ 1 billion is planned for 2010/2011. Work is to be done on aligning more closely the buying processes and ranges within B&Q in the UK and Castorama in France in the future. For example, 26 per cent of the outdoor leisure range will be common to both businesses in 2010/2011.
