B&Q planning to multiply its Trade Point concept in 118 stores for £ 26 mio

B&Q, Kingfisher's UK trading format, intends to provide 118 of its stores with a Trade Point module by the end of the summer. This is a building materials section around 400 m² in size that comes complete with its own entrance, staff and checkout and is for use by trade customers only. There is a special catalogue covering the range of 12 000 products, 8 000 of which are kept in stock, while the others are available by overnight delivery. After having tested the concept in nine stores, the company is now investing £ 26 mio in the rollout.
