The British DIY chain reports like-for-like growth of 2.7 per cent

Homebase, the British DIY chain that is part of the Home Retail Group, increased its sales in the recently completed financial year (to 27 February 2010) by 3.9 per cent to £ 1.572 bn. The increase comes to 2.7 per cent like-for-like. The company had 349 stores in operation on the cut-off date. According to information from Homebase, the chain has suffered from the adverse weather conditions over the past eight weeks, precluding the achievement of any sales growth.
