Homebase, the British DIY chain that is part of the Home Retail Group, increased its sales in the recently completed financial year (to 27 February 2010) by 3.9 per cent to £ 1.572 bn. The increase comes to 2.7 per cent like-for-like. The company had 349 stores in operation on the cut-off date. According to information from Homebase, the chain has suffered from the adverse weather conditions over the past eight weeks, precluding the achievement of any sales growth.
