The best DIY chain in Russia

The French DIY multiple chain Leroy Merlin has won the "Best Retail Top" prize in the non-food/DIY category for the year 2009. This prize is the highest Russian accolade in the industry. The presentation took place in Moscow last week at the 14 th "Retailing in Russia" summit. Organised by the National Retail Association of the Russian Federation, this business event is regarded as the most important in the Russian retail sector and has been held regularly since 1998. The awards committee includes experts from the Infoline information agency along with representatives of the Association. Leroy Merlin currently operates 15 DIY superstores in Russia.
