Baumax just maintains sales level

Last year Baumax recorded sales totalling around € 1.4 bn. As reported by the Austrian DIY market leader, sales remained around the previous year's level. The domestic market accounted for around € 611 mio of the total, which amounts to an increase of three per cent on the previous year. Following eight new openings last year (two in Hungary, one in the Czech Republic, two in Bulgaria, one in Croatia and two in Romania) and three store closures, Baumax at present operates 142 stores in eight countries. These break down into 67 in Austria, 24 in the Czech Republic, 14 in Slovakia, 15 in Hungary, three in Slovenia, six in Croatia, nine in Romania and four in Bulgaria.
