The world's second-ranked DIY retailer has entered a new market

Lowe's, the American DIY retailer that ranks as the second-biggest DIY trading group worldwide, has opened its first stores in Mexico. Each of the two outlets in Monterey is 10 000 m² in size and features a building materials drive-in, a garden centre and a hardware department with a complete service offer. The aim is to appeal to both home-owners and trade customers. The company has invested US $ 18 - 20 mio in each of these stores, having had an office in Mexico since 2007 in preparation for market entry.
