Sagaflor, a German specialist retail cooperative, increased sales in 2009 through centrally cleared transactions and business on its own account by 14 per cent to a total of € 309 mio. For the two sectors in which the company is actively involved, garden (accounting for around 55 per cent) and pet products, growth is almost identical. The main reason given for the double-digit rise is the increased level of joint buying through the cooperative by members from the organisation's authorized suppliers. The cooperative has a total of 550 member companies.
