Between September and December (30 August 2009 – 2 January 2010) the British DIY chain Homebase recorded sales of around £ 501 mio, which amounts to 4.6 per cent more than the same period one year previously. New openings account for a 0.6 per cent share of this figure, while the same-store increase comes to 4.0 per cent. The DIY chain, which is part of the Home Retail Group, now operates 349 outlets following one new store opening and two closures.
