Research by B&Q, a British DIY retail group, reveals that young people in Britain are increasingly incapable of carrying out DIY jobs in the home. In fact, they discovered that in almost all areas grandparents know more than those born since the mid -1970s. Which is why B&Q has launched an initiative to give practical lessons at school for children aged between 11 and 14 years. More information on B&Q’s initiative can be found in DIYglobal plus under the Trade Topics heading (v. Other articles on this topic).
