Signs of recovery

The British DIY market seems to have weathered the recent crisis. Consumers are once more showing an interest in improving their homes, and the DIY retailers are announcing increasing sales and earnings. For instance, the Home Retail Group announced at the end of October that Homebase sales for the first six months had exceeded all expectations.
