Market entry in Albania

Praktiker opened its first Albanian DIY superstore in Tirana, the capital of the country, on 30 October 2009. Along with the normal DIY store ranges customers can also find furniture, kitchens, housewares, white and brown goods, plus electronic articles, all displayed on an overall floorspace of 6 420 m². If the trial phase passes off successfully Praktiker intends to rapidly expand its presence in Albania, especially in Tirana and in Durres, a seaport situated about 30 km away.
