Growth for Homebase

Homebase, a British DIY retail chain, achieved sales growth of 4.4 per cent to £ 866 mio in the third quarter of 2009. Sales rose by 2.8 per cent like-for-like on the same period last year. The company’s operating profit increased by 66 per cent to a total of £ 48.9 mio. At the end of the quarter Homebase had 350 DIY stores with a combined retail area of 1.499 mio m² in operation.
