Appreciably fewer visitors

The UK garden trade fair Glee was held from 20 – 22 September 2009 in Birmingham, where buyers came to obtain information on new products in the garden, leisure and pet sectors. According to fair organiser Daniel Thurlow, 14 500 visitors registered over the three days of the show. These included representatives of all the major garden specialists, buying groups, DIY retailers and builders’ merchants. Last year’s Glee attracted a total of 18 000 visitors, which indicates a drop of 19.5 per cent for this year’s event.
