Bunnings, an Australian DIY chain, achieved sales growth of 9.1 per cent for a total of AUD $ 5.8 bn in the 2009 financial year. Sales in the trade segment were 2.8 per cent below the previous year’s result. EBIT managed growth of 11.9 per cent to AUD $ 659 mio. Bunnings increased its number of DIY stores in Australia and New Zealand by 13 to 231 during the recently completed financial year, and its number of trade centres by 10 to 22.
