Slight decline in visitor numbers

The China International Hardware Show (CHIS), Asia’s biggest hardware fair, closed its doors on 18 September 2009, after its three-day run in Shanghai. A total of 33 000 trade visitors from home and abroad were represented there, including estimates for the final day of the show. This means that the number of visitors was three per cent down on the previous year’s figure. Altogether 2 016 suppliers (2 000 last year) from 18 different countries and regions exhibited their goods and services at the event.
