Recovery not expected until 2011

According to the latest forecasts by Euroconstruct, the European building sector will contract by 7.5 per cent this year. Previous forecasts by the organisation, which is represented in 19 European countries, assumed a decline of 3.1 per cent. Euroconstruct is expecting a decline in construction activity of 1 per cent for the coming year too. Gradual recovery (+1.6 per cent) is not expected until 2011.
