The Irish Grafton Group reported a drop in sales of 18 per cent to € 127 mio in its retail business (41 DIY stores and 7 kitchen studios) for the first six months of 2009. Its operating results showed a loss of € 3.2 mio, compared with a profit of € 4.6 mio in the first half of 2008.
