Exit trading format

The Danish DT Group is discontinuing its Silvan trading channel in Sweden. It has only ten stores operating under this name. The group is still represented in the country by Beijer (65 stores) and Cheapy (20). Three outlets (in Malmö, Halmstad and Göteborg) will be converted to the Beijer format, but it is not yet clear what will happen to the other stores. At the end of 2008 the DT Group had an overall total of 255 stores operating in Scandinavia and Finland in six different trading formats. It has been part of Wolseley, a UK building materials group, since 2006.
