Landgard, a German marketing organisation, increased group sales in 2008 by 3.7 per cent to € 1.261 bn. The flower and plant segment accounted for € 946 mio of the total (+3.7 per cent). At € 755 mio (+3.6 per cent), pot plants had the biggest share of this segment. Cut flowers experienced growth of 3.1 per cent to € 159 mio, while products for gardeners and florists contributed € 32 mio (+10.7 per cent). The fruit and vegetable segment, which is considerably smaller than flowers and plants, recorded an increase of 3.8 per cent to € 315 mio.
