Backward somersault

After a break of two years Eurobaustoff of Germany and Euro-Mat, a European building materials cooperative, are again seeking a way back to their old common ground. On 1 April 2009 Ulrich Wolf, chief executive of Eurobaustoff, and Harald Rieth, chairman of the supervisory board, once again presented their cooperative to the supervisory board of Euro-Mat in Luxembourg. The latter decided unanimously to seek leave at the May meeting of their partners to admit the German cooperative as a member of Euro-Mat again. “The partnership came to an end in early 2007,” explained Ulrich Wolf, “because we had entered into a collaboration with Rewe/Toom. This undertaking was concluded at the end of last year, so we saw a chance to become committed to Euro-Mat again.”
