The European Federation of Parquet Importers (EFPI) has announced that imports of parquet for the year 2008 fell by 11.97 per cent over the previous year, achieving a total of 9 099 723 m². Solid wood parquet, which accounts for a six per cent share of the overall volume, fell by 25.93 per cent, while prefinished parquet reported a drop of 10.83 per cent. The EFPI was founded in 2005 and is based in Brussels.
