Expansion of store network

Hornbach opened its third Romanian DIY and garden store in Brasov on 18 March 2009. This outlet has a retail area of around 22 000 m² (15 500 m² weighted), with around 9 000 m² taken up by the DIY store and 5 000 m² by the garden store. In addition there is an 8 000 m² building materials centre with a drive-in yard. Another Hornbach DIY and garden store with a weighted total retail area of 12 500 m² is currently under construction at Galgenen, Switzerland. The opening of this 131st outlet is planned for the end of 2009.
