The World DIY Market Report 2008 compiled by Fediyma, the Federation of European DIY Manufacturers’ Associations, reveals that world DIY market sales achieved a volume of € 372 bn in 2007. More than half of this volume (57 per cent), amounting to US $ 295 bn or around € 200 bn, stemmed from North America. Europe’s share of the world market comes to 35 per cent (€ 131.3 bn), Asia and the Pacific region attain 5.1 per cent (€ 19 bn) and China accounts for 1 per cent.
