Display of confidence by the sector

As expected, the total of approximately 38 000 trade visitors to Domotex, which was held in Hanover from 17 – 20 January 2009, remained below the figure for the previous event, which was staged in a definitely more positive environment. Nevertheless, the fair organisers report that the exhibitors were almost universally satisfied with the quality of their fair contacts. Eighty-two per cent of the exhibitors and 64 per cent of the trade visitors came from abroad, with increases achieved from the countries of eastern Europe and the American continent in particular. The next Domotex Hanover will be held from 16 – 19 January 2010. This year for the first time an independent trade fair for ceramic tiling was staged simultaneously on the Hanover exhibition site.
