No sense of crisis

Bau 2009 achieved a new record of 211 000 visitors, which provides the industry with a great deal of impetus for the current year. The exhibitors were unanimous in their perception that the credit crunch and the crisis in the economy were not making themselves very much felt in the fair halls. There were 1 924 exhibitors from 42 countries displaying their wares at the trade fair. The visitors, more than 36 000 of them from abroad, came from 151 countries. It became evident from a questionnaire that 96 per cent of the visitors intend to come back again in two years’ time. Bau 2011 will be held from 17 – 22 January 2011.
