Growth for Eurobaustoff

The cooperative organisation ends 2008 with sales of € 3.77 bn Eurobaustoff, the German builders’ merchant cooperative, ended the year 2008 with centrally invoiced sales to the tune of € 3.77 bn. That amounts to growth of somewhat more than half a percentage point on the previous year. Included in the calculation is the positive contribution from Eurobaustoff’s involvement in Austria through the BEZ (central building materials buying office). Around € 3.28 bn of the total stems from the wholesale trade, which expanded by 0.1 per cent. The retail trade, however, recorded a 3.7 per cent deficit. The company puts an overall figure of around € 9.5 bn on its members’ external sales.
