Heimtextil – the world’s biggest international trade fair for home and commercial textiles – is scheduled for 14 – 17 January next year, when it will be held for the 39th time. This year’s event recorded a total of just under 86 500 visitors, a slight increase on last year’s figure. These visitors could look for the information they were seeking at the stands of 2 844 exhibitors altogether from 65 countries. Next year the organisers are again expecting about 2 800 exhibitors and around 85 000 visitors. Fifty-seven per cent of the exhibitors are from Europe, mainly from the major manufacturing nations of Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Britain, Belgium and Portugal.
