Positive reception

For the first time in 44 years the Italian building trade fair Saie was reduced from five to four days. The event was held in Bologna from 15 - 18 October 2008. The organisers, who report that the exhibitors were extremely satisfied with these four days, had expected that the reduction would result in a considerably lower visitor attendance figure. However, the total of 176 113 visitors, 7 257 of whom came from abroad, almost reached the previous year's level of 178 250. The next Saie will take place from 28 - 31 October 2009.
