Parting of ways

Euro-Mat, the pan-European cooperative organisation, and Rautakesko, the Finnish builders’ merchant and DIY group, will go their separate ways in future. The Euro-Mat board and Rautakesko have reached an agreement to terminate Rautakesko’s Euro-Mat membership as of 31 December 2008 by reason of the strategic alliance that Rautakesko has entered into with the Toomaxx buying organisation. A new member is to join Euro-Mat in 2009: Puukeskus, a building materials trading chain with 25 outlets in Finland and a turnover in excess of € 500 mio.
