Glee, the British garden trade fair, attracted 18 112 trade visitors from 58 countries to Birmingham from 21 to 23 September 2008. That was 17 per cent down on 2007. The proportion of visitors coming from abroad amounted to 9 per cent. Exhibitor figures were also down: while 1 500 companies were represented in 2007, the organisers mention slightly more than 1 400 for this year, though it is worth noting that 300 of these were new exhibitors from both home and abroad.
