CIHS on growth curve

The China International Hardware Show (CIHS) Powered by Practical World closed its gates in Shanghai on 19 September 2008 after the scheduled three days. Asia’s biggest hardware fair attracted 34 000 trade visitors, 3 000 of them from abroad. The overall visitor attendance figure was 4 per cent up on last year’s total. This year there were 2 000 exhibitors (+10 per cent) displaying their products on an area of 103 500 m². Some of the European suppliers were represented on group stands organised by various countries including Germany and Italy. Also present there were suppliers from Japan, the USA and Britain, as well as Australia, Spain, Switzerland, India, Israel, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, Korea, Turkey and the Philippines. Next year’s CIHS is scheduled to take place from 16 to 18 September.
