The weakness of the dollar compared with other global currencies is leading to sales gains for the members of the Worldwide DIY Council. Exporters from the US and Canada who are members of the association are announcing growth of 20 per cent or more this year in almost every product category. As information from the association reveals, the strongest growth is being recorded in Mexico, and in Central and South America as well. Business is also doing exceptionally well in Eastern Europe, especially in Poland. Members are optimistic about the prospects for next year, when they expect sales increases of between 10 and 20 per cent for most product categories.
