The German window market contracted considerably in 2007; the decline was less marked in Italy

The German window market contracted considerably in 2007, when it recorded a decline of 7.4 per cent in terms of volume. As the latest survey from Interconnection Consulting reveals, recovery will be no more than moderate in 2008. A decline was also recorded in the Italian window market in 2007, though at -1.4 per cent it was less dramatic than in Germany. Further information on the development of the window markets in Germany and Italy can be found in the Trade Topics section of DIYglobal plus (v. under Other Articles on this Topic).
