Retail business in the red

The Baywa group's sales rose 28.3 per cent in the first six months to € 4.4 bn. The result from ordinary activities doubled in size to € 80 mio. The building segment recorded sales only slightly increased to € 831 mio. The builders' merchant sales experienced an increase of 5.3 per cent to € 590 mio, while the retail business of the DIY and garden stores at € 241 mio up to mid-year remained 2.2 per cent below last year's comparative figure.
