Hagebau sales up

The Hagebau builders’ merchant and DIY group with stores in Germany and Austria was successful in increasing centrally invoiced sales by three per cent to € 2.056 bn for the first six months of 2008. Sales revenue in Germany (including participating interests) improved by 3.5 per cent to € 1.929 bn. The 294 Hagebaumarkt stores (previous year 290) in the DIY business were able to increase their sales revenue by 1.2 per cent. Hagebau expects commodity sales for the full year 2008 to show growth of around four per cent.
