Plant fair in China

More than 250 exhibitors from about 15 countries are expected at the fourth IPM China, which will be held in Foshan in the southern province of Guangdong from 1 to 3 December 2008. Companies will be presenting their products and services in the categories of plants, technology, floristry and merchandising. More room is to be made for tree nursery products this year, which will involve the event making use of the outdoor space for the first time. Figures from Messe Essen reveal that approx. US $ 5.6 bn (€ 3.6 bn) was spent on horticulture in China during 2006, with US $ 810 mio (€ 519 mio) of the total coming from the province of Guangdong.
