New international chief executive

Peter Hogsted, 39, is to take over as Chief Executive, International, at Kingfisher with responsibility for the group’s business in Poland, Russia, Italy, Turkey and China from 1 September 2008. He is joining the group from Ikea, where he is currently chief executive UK and chairman of the group’s operations in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ireland and Hungary. Kingfisher also recently announced the appointment of Euan Sutherland as CEO UK and Philippe Tible as CEO France.
