Sagaflor announces a five per cent increase for centrally settled sales in 2007

Last year Sagaflor increased centrally settled sales by five per cent. The volume of business for the company’s own account grew by 15 per cent. The gross profit of the speciality retailer cooperative is up by a double-digit figure, and equity capital has increased by 23 per cent. These figures were revealed at the general meeting in Hanover last week. During the year 2007 the cooperative worked together with 800 retail partners, who come from different branches of the sector including garden centres/plant centres, retail nurseries, specialist garden shops and tree nurseries, as well as specialty pet shops and stores. According to the figures, the greatest sales growth came from three distribution systems, Zoo & Co., Grün erleben and Bellandris, and from three advertising groups, “Da blüh’ ich auf”, Tier total and Teichkönig. These systems now account for 65 per cent of the cooperative’s sales.
