Rising prices

In the next few months Phil Matten of Fastener & Fixing Magazine expects an increase in the price of all types of steel fastening systems that could come to 40 – 60 per cent above the 2007 level. The main reasons for such an increase mentioned by Mr Matten in the course of a forum held at the Coventry Fastener Fair were the rising price of steel (+ 65 per cent), of coke and of important components required for the production of steel (+ 200 per cent).
