Expansion in Romania

Hornbach will be launching its second Romanian DIY and garden store in July 2008. The outlet will feature a weighted overall sales area of around 15 100 m², including a drive-in building materials centre, and is located on the southern fringes of the city of Bucharest. Soon Praktiker intends to open a branch of around 8 200 m² complete with garden centre in the new Jupiter Shopping Centre near Pitesti, which will bring its store total to 21.
