Leadership change at Coop Bau+Hobby

Andreas Frischknecht, 47, is to take on management responsibility at the Swiss DIY retail chain Coop Bau+Hobby on 9 June 2008. He will replace Kaspar Niklaus, who is moving to Valora AG as head of retail. Frischknecht has worked for the Coop Group for 18 years, occupying positions that included head of marketing/procurement and sales director at Interdiscount. In both functions he was a member of the divisional management.
