On expansionist track

Rautakesko has opened stores in Estonia, Sweden and Norway. A K-Rauta store of 5 400 m² was launched in Vörü, Estonia, on 23 April 2008, thereby expanding the group's network of branches to six. Two more stores are scheduled to follow during this current year in Rakvere and Kuressare. The total number of stores in Sweden went up to 19 with the opening of a K-Rauta in Göteborg on 24 April. On 26 April the group also inaugurated a Byggmakker store of just under 10 000 m², the first to feature its new concept, in Trondheim, Norway. The aim is to increase the number of women customers, while at the same time offering trade customers a comprehensive spectrum of products and services.
