New name

The DIY & Garden Show in London has been renamed and is now called Totally DIY. But not only the name is new. The next event, which is due to take place at Earls Court in London from 18 to 20 January 2009, is to feature a different floor plan, which the organisers, Brintex, have designed to allow new products to be displayed more prominently. This is because a survey has revealed that 85 per cent of exhibitors and 80 per cent of visitors come to London primarily to find new products. Special events accompanying the trade fair, which will celebrate its 15th anniversary next year, are to include a conference that looks at what the future holds for DIY retailing and goes into the question of what, where and how DIY products will be sold in years to come.
