Hornbach is now an FSC member in Switzerland

Hornbach Switzerland AG has been accepted as an active member of the FSC working group in Switzerland, which has more than 50 members. This is a sign of the company’s increasing involvement in the wood certification process in Europe. According to the company, Hornbach is the only internationally active DIY retailer in Europe to have received the FSC’s chain of custody certification for all its stores in Europe from an accredited certification body. The award was made in March and guarantees that the wood available from Hornbach is produced to high social and ecological standards and, in the case of tropical timber, does not originate from illegal felling operations.
