The world market volume for hand-held power tools grew to around € 8.5 bn in 2007

The world market for hand-held power tools grew by five per cent to achieve a volume of € 8.5 bn in 2007. Growth in terms of quantity came to four per cent for a total of 170 mio units, according to figures supplied by Bosch. The markets of Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region recorded growth rates of 17 and five per cent respectively. The European market volume for hand-held power tools increased by twelve per cent to € 4 bn. This breaks down into growth of around ten per cent for the market in western Europe and 17 per cent in eastern Europe.
