AEG Electric Tools, the manufacturer of professional power tools and accessories under the AEG and Milwaukee brand names, intends to concentrate more intensively on targeting the growth markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The parent company TTI, which is headquartered in Hong Kong, is consequently pooling its operations in these regions for all of its brands. In future Alexandre Duarte, president of the TTI parent company for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, will also take on the management of AEG Electric Tools GmbH of Winnenden, Germany, running them as two interlocking directorates. Horst W. Garbrecht is to be confirmed as managing director technology, whereby he will share the management of AEG Electric Tools in Winnenden with Alexandre Duarte. Erwin Trenn, who has been setting the stage for this process of integration since early 2007, is to leave the company at the end of February 2008.
