There will be a Boulevard of Excellence at Spoga+Gafa 2008, modelled on the Centre of Excellence in the garden furniture segment, and designed for use by other sectors. It is intended to offer top brands, not only from the Outdoor Living section but also from the areas covered by In-/Outdoor Ambience and Outdoor Activities, the possibility of an additional means of displaying their products. The Boulevard of Excellence is expected to stretch from the South Entrance of Koelnmesse to the start of the North Boulevard. It will allow exhibiting companies to display their products together right across the different ranges, for example in “worlds” for different target groups or in presentations of the latest trends. The organisers intend to create an exclusive show ambience and a dedicated line of communication for this purpose. Their aim is to gain new target groups such as boutique owners and buyers from the so-called contract business, architects and hoteliers for instance. The fair company appears well satisfied with the state of bookings overall, reporting that a great number of manufacturers of proprietary goods from all areas have already confirmed their participation.
