Obi faces fundamental personnel and structural changes

Obi is facing radical personnel and structural changes. Wolfram Stroese, director Germany and logistics, has left the company of his own free will. Paolo Alemagna, director corporate category management and global sourcing, is now taking on responsibility for logistics as well. Dieter Messner, 37, and Oliver Geiling, 39, are being nominated as new members of the Obi board. Mr Geiling will in future have responsibility for finance and cost accounting as chief financial officer (CFO). Mr Messner is to be director of international business. Business in Germany will be developed in an independent national company, the management of which has been taken on by Andreas Sandmann, 43.
